From the Minister
What happens in Unitarian Universalist religious education program? Together, children and adults discover that:
All life is precious and must be treated with respect.
The natural world is an endless source of wonder and discovery.
Our ideas change as we grow, learn and live.
We learn valuable lessons from all of the world’s religious teachings and traditions.
There are many ways to understand the meaning and nature of God.
Each individual is encouraged to follow a spiritual search for truth and meaning.
Our Fellowship is a place where we express our common values and concerns, support one another and create a sense of community in which we can thrive.
We invite you to join in the discovery!

From the Director of Religious Education
Welcome to another year of exploration. Religious Education is about so much more than just teaching our faith - it is about experiencing our faith. We all learn by doing. We grow as individuals by sharing our lives, our strengths and our weaknesses. We grow as a Fellowship of faith by acting on our beliefs. We grow as a world community by opening up to new experiences and new horizons. As a community of Unitarian Universalists, we commit ourselves to these three pillars of growth and to helping each other along that sometimes rocky path. Our Religious Education program is devoted to helping our youth grow as individuals and as UU’s. And we invite EVERYONE to join us on that journey. Experience the joy with us.

The Mission of the Religious Education Committee
To provide a program which fosters the ideals of the Mission Covenant of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of San Luis Obispo County;
To promote by teaching and example our Unitarian Universalist heritage, purpose, and principles;
To encourage peaceful communications and respectful acceptance of differences;
To create for our children and ourselves a religious community of hope, healing, empowerment, and transformation.
